Now sure, we know it’s just clothing, but there is something to say about self-expression through style and how bringing a new life to something pre-loved adds an extra bit of richness to that.
Rare Fien is a vintage & modern preloved clothing brand. Our focus is on intentionality, slow fashion and helping people express their unique style through quality, curated pieces that they are certain to feel amazing in. We aim to retain garments from a bitter end in the landfill, reviving them to live an even longer life. We not only look to bring beautiful pieces to you, but we hope to encourage our audience to be more intentional in their fashion habits by honoring slow-fashion principles.
After seven years of selling pre-loved clothing across various platforms, we realized the importance of finding our niche; we had to find our people. After a restless night of trying to figure out a solution that truly resonated with us, we finally had an epiphany: Rare Fien. From that moment, we knew we had to bring the vintage shop of our dreams to life. On August 16th, 2023, we secured our domain name, established our social media presence, and began our journey.
The Face Behind the Brand
Larena; owner / curator
Born and raised in Northern California, Larena spent her childhood immersed in nature. This shaped her deep appreciation for the natural world. At sixteen, she began her career as an e-commerce database manager. By nineteen, she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, renting a charming room in a historic Victorian home. During this time, she actively participated in volunteer work while working as an executive assistant and as a retail associate for a luxury brand. After time spent traveling, Larena returned home, gaining diverse experience in freelance website maintenance, social media management, bookkeeping, and more. These varied roles have equipped her with the skills and knowledge that ultimately culminated in the creation of Rare Fien. Fearless in the face of new challenges, Larena eagerly pursues her interests, applying her expertise with passion. She now resides in Tennessee with her husband and son while building her dream business curating vintage.
